Review of hosts 2

I Found out something!!!! Fewer people are tagging my board now. HAha...OKay nvm. I know many of you are actually reading my blog. COz the stats says so. HAHA

Anyway, i heard a rumour saying that our A level results may be out before CHinese NEw Year!!!! God darn shit!!!! I don't wish to hear any enquires from my relatives on my results coz I know i won't do well!! Darn shit!!! HAha

OKAY, it's time for the review of the hosts!

The only 2 that i feel should continue their hosting career. Well~, they both have got a strong command chinese. I love Vivian Lai coz she is really funny when she tries to act like a bimbo. HAha. But Meiqing say she is one!


Let'see:

Being under the category of Let'see means they are generally okay. But they need more time to be better. First, Belinda may win us over with the programme Finding A Singaporean. But if you have noticed, she is speaking mostly English throughout the whole show. But her hosting skills are generally fine lah. I love her laughter!!!

Lee Teng will be the next host of Home Decor Survivor if there is another season. Trust me!! He is rather talented! Furthermore, he is armed with a great command of chinese lah. That is a plus point.

LAstly, Michelle CHong. SHe has bad hosting skills. But her plus point is she knows how to imitates people with different slangs. Variety shows like The NOose is rather suitable for her. But when it comes to 普威之夜, OMG!!! SHe needs to be replaced!!!

OUt:

OUT! It's hard to say why they cant host. But they are just lousy lah. Esp Shen Yun Ying. If i am not wrong, she made a mess out of Show Luo's press conference. Shibam, is it true? HAha. Cui Fang needs more chances lah. As for Calvin Soh, writing and singing songs will be much a better job for me.

Review Of Hosts

Once again, it's time for a review. This time, i will do a review for Mediacorp's host. At first, i wanted to include all the hosts of Mediacorp, but i found out that there are far too many hosts in MEdiacorp. Therefore, i decided to separate all the hosts into 资深组 and 新人组.

Today, the veterans are going to fight for the top hounors in my blog. HAhaz..It is like 红心大奖之嘉阳博客大赛. HAhaz..Quite lame huh..

I know many others will disagree with my views since it is tougher to determine who is a better host than to determine who is a better actor/actress.

COming in first,

It has surely got to be her. Quan Yi Feng!!! I don't think any other host in Mediacop can beat her. SHe is undeniably the 综艺阿姐 of Mediacorp. 无论是稳重的慈善晚会或是轻松的综艺节目，她都应付自如，如鱼得水。说她是综艺阿姐，确实当之无愧.

Next, i really cant think of anyone that comes in second. This is because all the other hosts are almost of the same standard. Okay, i shall rank them all in the second rank.

Okay, let me now do a review for all of them. THey are all ranked second because they all have their strengths and flaws.

First, let's start with Mark Lee and Guo Liang. Personally, i think that Mark Lee and Guo Liang are the extreme opposites. Without Guo Liang, there are no other suitable candidates to host big shows like Star Search or Star Awards. However, Guo Liang cannot host simple variety shows that require him to crack jokes. Mark Lee is witty. He is funny too. But what irks me off most is that chinese of his. I cant stand others speaking with poor chinese esp when he is a HOST!!! Sometimes, i really hate it when Mediacorp insist on arranging him to host some major shows.

Oh well, who will forget about that embarrassing stance of his when he called 包小柏老师 包小白 when the latter came all the way to Singapore to grace the Star Awards!!! Terrible boy!!!

I must say this is NATIONAL SHAME!!!! 包小柏老师 is of a reputable status in Taiwan!!! To those who don't know him, he is just like the Dick Lee of Taiwan, or rather the LEe Wei Song of Taiwan!!!

SO yeah, that is why they are both ranked second.

NExt, let me now comment on Bryan Wong and Kym Ng. Variety shows are their forte since they are both really humourous!!! Personally, i think they share great chemistry. But i know Bryan Wong irks many of us off because he can be really sissy at times. HAhaz. Kym Ng is popular among most but i think her weak CHinese is also hindering her hosting career. She cant venture into more serious shows like Let's Shoot. SOmetimes, always acting as the 傻大姐 isn going to get you really far too. HAHaz..

But for sure, Kym Ng is really popular among Aunties. HAhaz

Next, Patricia Mok. 新传媒的唯一一位女谐星. Personally, i think she is funny and she doesn mind being ugly. But there has been reports of her acting like a big shot. Perhaps, this explains why we are seeing less of her now. My advice to her is be more accomdating if this rumour is really true. Actually, i think that she isn getting enough chances lah. i believe she can manage Variety shows like 今晚Maria不在家.

Dasmond Koh is next. DId i spell his name correctly? I don't wanna be like XiaXue!!! HAhaz..If you are a blog fanatic, you will know what i mean. HAhaz. From my point of view, Dasmond Koh has a really great command of CHinese. This will not allow him to host simple variety shows but also big shows like 人心慈爱照万千. But sometimes, his jokes are really really lame. And i believe this is really landing him in trouble. I hate to hear lame jokes!!! HAahaz. But Jeron and John think that he is fake. Hmmm...what do you think?

Okay, i know many of you guys won't agree with me, but i think that he still has room for lots of improvement.

Jeff Wang, i am sorry!!! HAhaz..Personally, i think that he can only be a 二线主持人. I dun know why but from his performances, i don't think that he can be the 主key for variety shows.

所谓的主key就是类似《我猜我猜我猜猜猜》里，吴宗宪所扮演的角色。主key的工作就包括控制整场的气氛和流程。阿雅在《我猜我猜我猜猜猜》里所扮演的角色就是二线主持。主key是台湾的流行用语，就有如我们的Lame一样。你知道了吗？

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!!! I am trying to sound overjoy, but in fact, i am feeling rather down now. HAhaz...

This is going to be a tough year for me. First, i am receiving my A level results. Next, i am enlisting in less than 4 months time. Time flies. I am already 18 this year. GOsh!!! I am 19 this year!!!! OMG!!!! Sometimes, i really feel old seeing 黑涩会妹妹 and 棒棒堂弟弟 in variety shows of Taiwan...HAHaz. It's okay if you don't know them.

It's time for my New Year resolutions. YEah, Yeah!!!! I just took a look at my new year resolutions of 2006. To my horror, i only fulfiled 2 of the the 7 that i had came up with. Actually, it's not exactly a shock for me lah, since 2007 was a really bad year for me. HAhaz...Okay, time for the resolutions.

1) First, i wish to have a clear skin. OMG, this is forever one of new year resolutions!!! Forever!!!! Despite being the leader of the soln to clear skin gang, nothing helps!!!! HAhaz, i wonder when will my skin recover. When i am 35? Coz i will be wishing for a skin with less wrinkles then. HAhaz.....

2) To Tour!! OMG, i really hope to tour Taiwan. My cousin told me that i will be able to if i am appointed as an officer after i finish my BMT!!! Gosh!!! Stop scaring me!!!!! I don't wish to have a really bad impression of Taiwan!!!! Apparently, only those who performed well will be appointed as an officer. Sounds alright huh. But to make things worst, you cant reject their offer!!! Officers have got to spend another 7 gruelling months in Taiwan, Brunei or Australia. I know i will not perform well, but i am often really really sway. Okay, enough!!! I am freaking out. I really hope to tour Taiwan before i get enlisted!!! But i know this is not going to happen!!! Gonna wait till i finish my NS ba....HAhaz.

3)To survive in the army. I guess i don't have to elaborate further.

4)That last one is a secret!!! HAhaz...

If I Am A Producer oF Mediacorp

If I am a producer of Mediacorp,

I will produce a variety show similar to 康熙来了. HAHaz....It will be really interesting with hosts being Quan Yu Feng and and and and........Pornsak, i guess. HAhaz..

The show will be aired an hour a week, preferably during the prime time slot on Friday.

I have thought of several interesting themes for the show. Care to hear them?

I don't care if you wish to or not, but i am just going to write them all here!!!! hAhaz

Theme:七公主之战

来宾:七公主

Content: The seven princess will be asked about their love lives. In the meanwhile, questions like "Who do you think is the prettiest?" will also be posted. I have thought of a really grand opening for the show too. First, the seven princess will be dressed in their 古装 respectively. Then, Quan Yi Feng and Pornsak will walk out of a sliding door gracefully. Quan Yi Feng is of course the 皇后，while Pornsak is of course the 太监. HAhaz...The seven princess will greet Quan Yi Feng, "众公主们给皇后娘娘请安" The rest of the 台词 will be as follows， “众公主们平身” “谢娘娘”. HAhaz. Don't you think that this episode of mine will be a hit!!!

Theme:他们很洋派

来宾：Nat Ho, Jade Seah, Fiona Xie The lady who acted as the principal of 《七彩学堂》and Diana Ser

Content: The guests will be questioned on why their chinese are all so poor. Meanwhile, Diana Ser will educate us on how to be an effectively bilingual elite under our education scheme. Towards the end of show, the 3 guests will play a 成语 game and the winner will walk away with a........With a......With a........CHinese Dictionary!! HAHaz...Woo~This episode will be a hit too!!!!!

Theme:健身吧，朋友们

来宾：Adam Chen, Vincent Ng, Ben Yeo, Dasmond Koh and Pornsak (Also as a host)

Content: In this episode, the skinny guys will learn to exercise well from the muscular guys. The 爆点will be when the skinny guys struggled to keep up with their counterparts. I hope it will be hilarous. Also, questions like "Have you tried going to the gym?" can be asked. If their reply is yes. Quan Yi Feng can scream, "Then why are you still so skinny?" HAhaz..Quite lame huh. But nvm, the previous episodes are going to be really popular!!!

These are some of the themes that i have thought of. Of course, there are many others too. For example, "881，最红的数字" can also be one of the themes when 《881》is being screened.

Don't you guys think that my variety show is going gather many support!!! HAhaz..

Do you guys feel a sense of hope with me around!!! Don't worry. In future, variety shows under me will be really nice to watch!!! HAhaz...

Job + Review

Hello, guys!!! I am back!!!

Work starts today and ends on Friday. HAhaz..I getting a high pay of $8 for a hour!!!

HAha...Don't be envious, this is what the best promoter gets!! HAhaz...

ANyway, i enjoyed 红心大奖之戏剧情牵25 yesterday.

Yesterday, the seven princess were the first ones to walk down the stage. This shows that they are all now confirmed with at least an "Ah Jie Wannabe" status in Mediacorp. Right after the seven princess, Mediacorp arranged for 4 guys to walk down the stage. I guess they are now confirmed as one of rising male stars in Mediacorp since they were named　新一代的阿哥　by the background voice yesterday. Hahaz...

Let me now do a review of them since i am really concerned about the entertainment scene in Singapore. I have already done a review of the seven princess. If you have not read that entry, scroll down now!!!!

It was hard trying to rank them since there wasn really an outstanding one among them. HAhaz...

After much consideration, i decided to rank him first. It's quite a weird choice of mine but the other guys don't really stand out. Even though he started out with his raw acting and bad chinese, but i think he has really improved lots. Esp in his chinese!! Personally, i hate it when others cant even pronounce simple chinese words properly. He once irks me off with his bad accented chinese. But he has improved!!! Furthermore, i see a huge leap in his acting skills in the last drama 破茧而出 too. Lastly, i think that his chiseled good looks is another strength of him.


Shaun CHen ranks second. He doesn has a really handsome face, but his solid acting saves the day. Good acting will bring you further in the showbiz business. Not exactly a heartthrob but a 实力派演员 that will soon emerge as the male leads for many dramas in future.

Nat Ho is third. According to Shu Jia, Nat is really cute. I agree too. But you cant survive with just a pretty face. People will get tired of your face. Personally, i think that Nat's facial expressions are all fine but his main problem comes from his bad chinese. It's really really bad. He cant even speak simple chinese and his articulation is totally wrong!!! If you had once seen 创业无敌手, you will know that he "Ti Ti Da Da" , dunno speaking what chinese. HAhaz..He needs to work on his chinese immediately before the star search guys catch up with him!!


LAstly, Elvin Ng comes last! I am sorry, Jasline. I know he has the looks to die for, but remember, he has a bad voice to "die for" too. He pronouciation is okay, but his voice is the worst point of his. Xue Ting once said, it's nice to look to Elvin Ng, but when he speaks, she rather hear me speaks. HAhaz...Modelling is then the ideal job for him since it is not within his means to correct his voice.

OKay, end of entry, I am reallly really tired.

A Sin

Have you guys once commited a sin?

I have!!! HAhaz....

When i was in my primary school, my family often visits the temple. We didn went there to pray. Instead, we brought along bread to feed the fishes in the pond. This was because my auntie often left us breads that are approaching the expiry date since she was working in a bread shop. Of course, we will try to finish the bread but sometimes, we really cant finish them.

Thus, we will feed the fishes in the temple with the bread.

The sinful thing isn us feeding the fishes in the temple with bread that had expired for a day or two, but me trying to catch the fishes in the temple.

After weeks of feeding, i soon noticed a really cute goldfish swimming in a small pond. It was really huge and cute!!

So, i harboured an evil thought.

I waited patiently for the moment. Soon, there was no one around. I took a plastic bag and tried capturing the fish. However, the fish swam really fast despite being a little obese. But with the help of my family members, we still manage to get the goldfish into the plastic bag.

Don't you guys agree that the powerful resistance put up by the goldfish serve as a warning for us to stop our evil acts?

But apparently, we didn.

When we returned home, i placed the goldfish in my fish tank with my kois. Surprisingly, the goldfish kept a distance from the kois.

You know what i did?

I knocked on the wall of the fish tank, forcing the goldfish or the kois to swim close to one another!!!!!

Seriously, i am filled with remorse now.

After days, i found that the goldfish was injured. Some of it's scales was badly torn. A sense of guilt seized me. I immediately seek the help of Jennifer. For those who don't know, Jennifer is a classmate of mine who lives nearby me.

Since she was rearing goldfish, i suggested bringing that goldfish to her house. And she agreed.

After days, all my kois died. Jennifer's goldfish couldn survive the ordeal too.

Last but not least, the cute goldfish perished too.

Trust me, i regret my actions in the past now.

I hereby apologises to all the gods and fishes in the temple. Pls forgive me~.

I hope to visit the temple soon to apologise for my deeds.

七公主

Hello, everyone!!!! I am back!!!!

I am sure you guys have heard of the seven princess in Mediacorp, 七公主. HAhaz..SInce i am bored, i shall now do a review of the seven princess. Quite bo0ring huh, but be glad that you get something to read!!!!

After years of experience in watching television, i guess i have much experience in deciding who will be the rising star and who will not be!!!

This is just my personal opinion! Don't be rather agitated if your idol didn manage to climb up the ranks in my blog. But once again, do they even care about the ranking in my blog..HAhaz..

OKay, let's start from the first.

Personally, i think she will emerged as the top of seven princess soon!!!

Yesh!!! Felicia Chin!!! This is because i think she has grown prettier as years passed. I remembered she was such an ugly duckling in the drama The Champion. During that period of time, put her beside Ou Xuan, she pales in comparsion. But with make up and David Gan, she shines like a star. From reports, i heard that she always mantains a good attitude towards work. This is the key to stardom!! In mediacorp, you cant afford to offend any of the big shots. COz there is no Mediaworks now!!! HAhaz.....And her acting is rather well. This is so important!!!

Coming in second, i guess it's her!!!

Jessica Liu!!! SHe is definately not a hot favourite. But i really think that her acting is quite mature as compared to the other princesses!!! But she needs to get her long hair back as quickly as possible. Her short hair sucks!!!! I think she looks hot in 《幸福双人床》.

Third, it should be Rui En. Her mature acting skills is her best asset. She should continue having her short hair because she doesn look sweet with her long hair. Personally, i feel that her cold looks is restricting her roles. She can only play a tomboy or a Madam in a police force. But once again, she has got good acting skills. I guess this will bring her much further than other princesses.

Dawn Yeo comes in Fourth!!! I know!!! Her acting sucks!! But she is really really young. Just a year older than me!! ANd how many dramas have she acted in? Only 3, i guess. HAhaz..If she improves on her acting, she will definately shoot to fame. Anyway, i think Mediacorp is the one to be blame for her poor acting!!!! For young girls like her, Mediacorp should arrange her to be in an idol drama instead of some dramas that require her to act like as if she is a career woman!! Remember, The Peak!! COme on, she is only ninteen!!!! Idol dramas will be good for her!!!

Bai Wei Xiu ranks fifth!!!! HER acting has improved!!! But....I know i am ugly but her face is really quite large and she looks old. In no time, she will be playing a mother role. Trust me!!!! Her love interest is Nat Ho in 《黄金路》. Looking at the both of them, i cant help but to think that Bai Wei Xiu looks like his sister. SHe should try using her hair to make her face look small just like what celest 张玉华 does.

Last but not least, they both ranked last. HAhaz..This is because they have the same problem. Forever one leh...Ou Xuan always act like Jing Jing, Fiona always act like Little Genie!!! Repeat after me, Forever one!!!!!!! They are both pretty, but sad to say, they are just a pretty face!!! Forever one loh, their acting!! ALways the same!!! Muz use 配音员 for Ou Xuan coz her expresions is okay but not her voice. But for Fiona Xie, cannot use 配音员. Coz her actions are voices are forever similar to that of Little Genie....Fiona can try being a host, but her chinese is just too poor. SHe can appear in magazines and endorse more since she looks hot!!!

OKay, that's all. But personally, i think they can only replace Zoe Tay but not Fann Wong. You get what i mean. I believe none of them can be as successful as Fann Wong, starring in international films coz they don't have the international look. Maybe Fiona Xie has!!!! She can try venturing into the overseas marker!!!! But her acting needs to improve.

Do you guys like singing?? I guess you guys know I love to sing. HAhaz...Visiting Kbox is one of my favourite pastimes.

But there are certainly some behaviors in the karaoke room that really piss me off..here are some of them. Wonder if you agree with me?

1) People Who Talks Loudly When You Sing

When i sing, i expect the utmost attention from all my friends!!! Okay, you don't have to be really focused, but can you at least try your best to listen!!! My singing isn that awful!!! I hate it when others laugh loudly when i sing!!! I am a good listener if your vocal powers isn really that bad. HAhaz...Normally, i will swing my arms when my friends are singing. HAhaz....

2) People Who Holds On To The Mic

NOOO~~~~iT is NOT me!!!! I have changed for my better. Now, i don't hold on to the mic. I only sing songs that i have confidence in!!! HEHex!!! Pls stop holding on to the Mic esp if you don't sing well!!!! HAhaz...Of course, no one says it's an offence to sing if you croon the songs badly, but doing it really often will hurt my ear drums!!!! HAhaz...You can sing, but not so often, my dear...HAhaz...

3) People Who love to "Sing Along"

When the choice of your song arrives, someone detestable will suddenly scream, " 我陪你唱”OMG, this is not a SING ALONG session. I don't need your help!!!! Do you know you can repeat the song!!!! HAHaz....You will get extremely agitated esp if that song is your 主打歌!! Normally, i will sing the first half of the song, leaving the second half to my friend. HAhaz...Once again, it's definately alright if you sing along for a few times but NOT for every song.

I am sure there are more detestable behaviors in the karaoke room but i guess i shall not carry on. You guys can list them down in my tagboard if you really have the urge to carry on for me. HAhaz...

Anyway, Meiqing and I were chatting about a "rundown" when we visit Kbox. For those who don't know, a "rundown" means a list of songs that you will most ptobably sing when you go singing. HAhaz...I have a rundown too. See~~~

I couldn wait for my dad to bring back the papers today!!!! i demanded him to get me 2 copies of WanBao. One for reading while the other for keeping!!!

Before this, the email mentioned that they will be alterating parts of my article.

It's often the procedure for editors to alter some parts of the article, but to my horror, they elimination those important arguements that could make my stand really strong.

First, it was "许文远部长曾经说过新加坡歌手如孙燕姿和阿杜是凭着在歌词中掺入英语，或在华语专辑中加入一两首英文歌曲，才成功地打入庞大的海外市场的。但是，是这样吗？我不得不承认孙燕姿和阿杜的前几张专辑是有加入一两首英文歌曲，但是据我所知，在很大的程度上，阿杜与台湾台语天后江蕙的合唱才为他带来了不少瞩目，而不是因为他演唱了《Right Here Waiting》。" They got rid of the part on our minister.

Next, they simply eliminated the whole part on "吴资政在观看《881》后不也表示里头的福建的歌曲都十分的动听吗？试问：“他愿意看到这动听的音乐走入历史吗？”

HAhaz..See the similarities between the parts the edited?!?!

It's all about our GOVERNMENT!!!! I really wonder why these 2 parts have to be edited. This are all facts. I search through the internet and newspapers for them!!!

I thought, with the backup of our minister and senior minister, i could make my stand stronger. But unfortunately, WanBao edited them all!!!!

Where is our freedom of speech?

ZzzzZZZ....That's why i am bent on joining the Worker's Party!!!! HAhaz....

Elaborating On My Previous Entry

I am sure you guys know why i mentioned about SIM being not a bad choice in my previous entry.

Of course, i think i didn do well for my As. ACtually, i am quite sure that i won't do well for my As.

Okay, lets first talk about my General PAper. I did a question on environment. The question goes something like that:

Can countries preserve the environment when they are using increasing amount of resources to progress?

Obviously, the main points are "preserve the environment' and "using increasing amount of resources to progress"!!! But you know what!!!!

I wrote the whole essay on PROGRESS!!! ONLY PROGRESS. How stupid can i be?!?! So this means a CONFIRM fail for my essay. What's worst is writing out of point gets you only around 12 to 16 marks. Mind you!!! The paper is over 50 marks!!!!

One DOWN!!!

Ms Ng Sue Ling will probably laugh her head off if she sees this. She will blame this on my retribution for putting her in the limelight once again despite already trying desparately to shake her "Star Search" image off...HAhaz..

Next, i think i will probably get a D for my chinese or at most a C. Come on, don't doubt my words. I am pretty sure about the grades i am getting.

This morning, i had my Maths paper. Most people find them easy, and when ppl find them easy, i suffer. Of course, i know how to do a few sums, but i only got a low 26 marks for my maths paper during my prelims. So how much do you think i can improve within 2 weeks?

I will be getting a S for maths. For those who don't know what is a "S", it means a pass at O levels or literally a subpass!! Don't be sarcastic pls. I know what's on your mind. You will be probably thinking, "At least you will be getting a pass at O levels". ZZZzzz!!

Okay, i do admit that the later papers are my stronger subjects but lets just hope for the best. Assuming that i will get As for both my Chemistry and Econs, which sounds rather impossible,

I will be still getting a grade of

A A D S Gp:D7!!!!

To make things worst, econs is only a h1 subject. For those who don't understand, it means that it will have a lower percentage in my overall uni score!!!!

Furthermore, i may not get As for my Chem and Econs!!!!!

I can only hope for a miracle now. Let's just hope that those British Ang Mohs give me a 23 for my essay and a 27 for compre. Only with this, i can pass my general paper with a C6.

They better do so since they humiliated our trishaw uncle!!!!
