Gathering At Vilage!

Friday was a gathering that i had with my Fuhua friends. I haven seen them for a real long time. From Eileen's blog, "Yesterday's gathering was superbly silly, but fun." I agree totally.

Many were placing their eyes on us as we camwhored. But we didn cared!! We carried on acting like models and posed with great confidence. HAhaz

Hell lots of photos to upload. Don't be too shock if you cant see our faces clearly from those picture. They were meant to be so. Coz melvin's camera has a threatening 8.4 megapixel function which i really detest. Hope you know why!! HAHaz...

OKay, for those who haven seen I-weekly, this was the comment i have sent them.

字幕呢？

看了新传媒的综艺节目这么多年，最令我懊恼的是为什么节目都没附上字幕？

其实，《校花校草追赶跑》，《我爱星期天》和《有话好好说》等节目都可以复上字幕的。尤其是《校花校草追赶跑》这类户外节目，周围的环境十分吵杂，这时，字幕的存在就更加重要了。其实，为节目附上字幕也可以是新传媒为“华语cool”运动所尽的一点心力。因为在多看，多听的情况下，大家不就能更好的学习华语吗？

看看台湾的《我猜我猜我猜猜猜》，附上的字幕是如此的精准。主持人和来宾的劲爆语录还会加以放大，这样做除了能加强节目的节目的艺术效果，更让我们看出制作组对于节目的用心。看来，新加坡的综艺节目不仅不比台湾的得来的精彩，所用的心似乎也不比别人来的多。

OMG!! They actually rejected such a good suggestion that will helped improve the variety shows in Singapore by leaps and bounds!!! HAHaz..

The comment in I-weekly was actually edited. So, this is then what i had sent them. Meiqing is making me mad. SHe says, "From the point of a reader, she will feel that 我在鸡蛋里挑骨头."

But i am not. Pls listen to my explaination. Having subtitles is extremely important. Don't we all agree that when we watched movies or dramas, somehow, most of us here will be much more attracted to the subtitles. So in a way, having chinese subtitles will help Singaporeans improve their chinese. First, they will know how to read the word. Second, they will know how to write the word.

Okay, to reinforce on my point, for those who have been watching Taiwanese variety shows, don't you guys know how to read 繁体字? Don't you guys know how to write at least one 繁体字? See~~This is the power of subtitles!!!

You guys should pay more attention to Taiwan variety shows. "主持人和来宾的劲爆语录还会加以放大". I do admit that Jacky Wu is humourous. But enlarging the words and sometimes letting a crow fly past will increase the drama effects of the show, and therefore improving it! This is 舞台效果 or 戏剧效果!

Okay, i guess i am just too agitated!! HAhaz.Sorry guys. Meiqing, i am not exactly angry with you. I just want to explain my point. HAhaz...

Guys, i am back!!! My prelims have not ended. But i get to have at least some rest before another gruelling week starts. The Ministry Of Education is pushing all it's A level students to their extreme and i mean it!!! Gosh!! Life sucks to the core now~~!!!

Despite studying for Chinese for the first ever time, i am still going to fail the paper!! And to add on to my sorrows, Maths is a confirm fail too!!! Gosh~~!!

Dear all, don't be too amused by my cousin's tag. Do you guys really think i can make it into the getai with this voice of mine? Hahaz. I guess if i am really joining getai, the only strength of mine is i know hokkien songs despite my young age. But again, those malaysians-getai-wannabe will surely know many hokkien songs too.

Soo, i guess this will only be a dream of mine. HAhaz..Sorry for the lack of updates. I am busy!! I need to study for my prelims!!!

ANyway, went to sinseh yesterday with xueting coz we were both sick. HAhaz. Actually, we aren really sick lah. But chinese herbs can help 调养 our 身体. Guess we both needed that. HAhaz..

A Date!!!

A big thanks to Meiqing before i start!! Thanks for referring some of your readers over to my blog. I felt instantaneously famous. HAhaz...

A date!! A date may just mean another chance to meet your bf/gf for many of us here. But for Mum and Dad, i guess this was what they had done years ago.

But Mum and Dad actually went on a date!! HAhaz..They went for a movie today. I don't know about your parents, but mine don't take a stroll in the parks, holding hands, just like Kwoon Jiew's parents does. Of course, they do visit the market together but watching a movie together is like something they had done for more than 20 years ago.

Or they always went on a date without us knowing?!?!?!

Sometimes, Mum will laugh at Dad's beer belly. She tickle him too. Most of the times, they will pester us to go to bed early after that. HAHaz..I am just joking. They don't pester us to go to bed early!

When i was young, Mum will always tell me about her divorcing Dad after we grow old. HAhaz...I guess this was because Dad loves to drink and when he returns after drinking, he goes a little berserk. HAHaz..But now, i guess things have already changed for the better. Yay!!

It's hard to mantain a marriage for more than 20 years. See couples today. Having 2 years of relationship is already considered long for many. I cant possibly say Dad and Mum handle their marriage really well, but at least they tried their best. HAhaz...

I just hope that our family will live happily ever after!! Hmm..Where is dad?? Paiseh..

Went to the skin centre today coz skin was really really bad!! ACtually, i had my appointment made almost a month ago. But i didn know that the appointment was on the national day holiday. What a coincidence. HAHaz....

~~My Saviour!!~~~HAHaz..But seriously, the grasses needs to be trimed!!!

Look at the amount of medicine i have for my skin!! I was prescribed with antibiotics too!! I am afraid to take those antibioties b'coz they may have lots of side effects. Mum says they kill my cells too. Izzt true? Any bio students here?

Some side effects cause include nausea, vomitting, stomach ache, diarrhoea, itching of mouth or nose, and increased sensitvity to sunlight. See~~I am a little afraid about having these antibodies. Apparently, the antiobiotics are only given to worst cases of acne. HAHaz.

But seriously, they scare me. After much consideration, i decided to treat myself as a patient of mild acne first. I shall just apply treatment to my skin. After a month or so, if my condition worsen, i shall then decide if i want to have the oral treatment.

观音娘娘，pls bless me with a good skin. It's really a bad year for me. So, can you also bless me with happiness and joy. HAhaz...

Friends, pls pray for me!!! The solution to clear skin gang is left with only me!! HAHaz..But before i recover, the gang shall not DISBAND. Even though MEiqing and Melvin have already overcome the acne demon..HAhaz. You guys will stay by me right? HAhaz...

I hope i will regain my confidence in no time!!!

Went for a movie after my skin centre visit. I watched the movie ALONE. HAhaz..Actually, watching it alone doesn make much difference. I guess this is because you don't speak much when you watch a movie with your friends too.

But i heard someone seated a few seats away from me saying, "有人自己一个人来看leh!" HAhaz...I couldn be bothered with them.

ANyway, 881 is okay lah. It was a little worst than i thought. There were just too many hokkien songs. They will suddenly croon you a hokkien song even though they were only chit-chatting in the previous scene. But I really enjoyed the hokkien songs!!! Woo~Royston Tan, you can consider having a 电影原声带. i believe i will be the first to buy the cd!! HAhaz..

But if you are watching 881, look out for May and Choy. They will disgust you with their weird accented chinese. I thought they knew hokkien coz they were from Malaysia. But apparently, their chinese really sucks big time. They can only pronounce "干嗲，你看papaya!" and "恶心leh" accurately...

Just an advice, this show is better viewed if you are armed with the hokkien language. Even though subtitles are provided, but some jokes are definately funnier in hokkien.

National day special.

Happy National Day to all!!!

I love Singapore!! Do you? HA..But i love Taiwan. I hope i will have the chance to tour Taiwan soon!! Real soon, i hope..HAhaz..

Pls do not tag, "YOu are really going to Taiwan soon ah, you will be enlisted really shortly." I swear i am going to be really frustrated at your comment!!

Anyway, national day celebration in school saw many performing patrotic songs. I was reminded of the days in Fuhua when Talentime was always the programme for our National Day celebration. I will always be seated below the stage rooting for Meiqing. Of couse, there were many others supporting her too. Meiqing would always win with ease as those competitors were of no match for her. So are the JJ superstars..HAHaz...

Ahmina is annoyed. SHe thinks that ZHiWen is the best. HAhaz...

Anyway, i have uploaded an audio version of MeiQing singing "HOme". You guys shall be the judge. Let's decide who sings better. ZHiWen or Meiqing? HAhaz..

Personally, i think Zhiwen sings quite well too. But of course, Meiqing is better. And she is certainly 5 times better than Yu Ci, the girl who performed the song "HOme" for us during the National Day celebration.

It's nice!! I do not adore Jay CHou and i wasn really keen about watching that movie at first. But the movie really shocked me.

故事很简单，说的是纯纯的爱，但其中却隐藏了一个很关键的twist.

ANyway, the movie deserve a watch if you are a fan of Jay Chou. If you are not, it's not a bad catch either. Definately much better than Harry Potter. A blockbuster which flunks terribly.

HAhaz..It's a feat loh. Not all who sent in their articles got the voucher. Those small articles beside me didn get that voucher. Ha.

Hectic!!

Hello, Guys!!! I am back!!! It haS been almost a fortnight since i last blogged. SOme of my readers have been urging me to churn out entries. But i simply couldn. SChool is boring and i have been depressed recently. Ha..It isn entirely about results. Though i do admit that my maths results are worrying. Hahaz. I guess i have been severly hit by the "emo" wave. HAhaz..OKay!! Lame!!!

Anyway, this is just a boring entry. You can choose to leave if u really want to. But pls continue to visit my blog!! I will appreciate that greatly since i am now under Nuffnang!! HAhaz...

Hmm...I have found out why mIngmin's mum found me not that bad looking. Ha. This was because i have greeted her "auntie" when i saw her at the parent's meeting session. HAHaz...Being polite do earns u compliments. HAhaz...

Anyway, i have been really polite to many. But sometimes, addressing can be a chore.

Once, an aunite in her mid 30s was bargaining with MeiQing to sell her socks at a cheaper price. BEing kind, i thought i could give MeiQing some aid of mine. So i went, "Auntie, 你不要这样啦，我们星期天还要来卖袜子，你就让我们赚一点啦!"

She didn reply, but her husband beside her said, "Huh, 你说什么?"

I thought he couldn hear me properly, so i repeated myself. But he went, "Huh, 你说什么?" again.

Being really perceptive, i went, "Oh, 小姐，你不要这样啦，我们星期天还要来卖袜子，你就让我们赚一点啦."

This time, her husband was glad. He snapped, "幸好，你有改过来，不然我们连这个都不想买了啦!" HAHaz..I could only laugh.

Hmm..I cant say it's entirely her husband's fault. B'coz Meiqing do address most ladies in their thirties and forties as 小姐. But for me, i really cant bring myself to call some aunties 小姐. HAhaz. I really cant. Even if Zoe Tay comes to patronise my stall now, i bet i will still call her auntie if i didn knew she was the queen of the Caldecott Hill.

This is because i feel that after addressing someone as 小姐，it seems that "可以要你的电话吗" comes right after. HAhaz. And it sounds like a typical Ah BEng's slang. Hahaz...

Mum told me that i can call them 大姐 instead. HA. Not a bad idea. Shall try next time.

Okay, this is just a boring entry. Gonna update more when my life becomes much more interesting. Meanwhile, it's just too boring...HAhaz!!

Being Lame

First, before i start, anyone from Nuffnang here? HAhaz..I am just trying my luck. Pls do come forward to my aid as soon as possible coz i am in desperate need for help!!! Thanks!!

Just to clarify something. Sorry to my classmates if i had sound conceited during chem lesson today. I really don't mean it. As you guys know, i am just being straightforward. I do boast about my results in Maths too!! So i guess i aren really proud right? HAhaz...

Anyway, mIng mIn ( Also known as Ahmina ) made my day today!! HAHaz...

Morning assembly was filled with laughter b'coz Ahmina told me something today. Parents' meeting session was on Saturday and Ahmina's mother came shortly after i reached the classroom..

Seeing me, MingMIn told her mother that i was always the one who tease her. She complained that i often make fun of ZHiWen and her.

And to my astonishment, her mother reply was, "其实，他长得还不错."

I thought something like "为什么他这么多 pimple?" was more appropriate!! HAhaz...

Apparently, Ahmina 's sister had also mentioned that i wasn that bad looking after she saw my entry on the Chrismas outing last year. HAHaz...

I admit. Compliments are indeed pleasant to the ears. But this is just too unbelievable!!!

I can only conclude that mIngmIn's mother had saw me afar. Being at least a metre away will ensure that you will not see 95% of my pimples. HAhaz...The only pimple that you can most probably see is an enormous one on my right cheek..HAhaz

Or she could have been deceived by my candid wit and humor during the parent's meeting session since she was just sitting not far away from the table where my mother and i were.

Sorry guys. I had to change the url of my blog b'coz the readership was getting a bit out of hand. HAhaz..I know i may always joke abt me being a popular blogger, but i think the fame is really just too much for me.

I cant imagine ppl saying,"Oh..Look!! He is the one who blogs abt the Gp teacher. OMG..Look at his pimples. That must be his retribution. HAHaz.." I have low self esteem, that's why.

[ Soln to Clear Skin Gang ]

MeiQing wanted to pass me the socks so we arranged to meet outside school for my convenience. Ha.

We had a short chat before MeiQing headed for home. Before i could even speak, Melvin said," Jiayang, your pimple condition looks bad. You seem to have breakouts leh."

Of course, i agreed. I couldn deny what. It's all written on my face!!! Melvin and MeiQing then went on to chat abt their recent outbreaks. All of a sudden, it sounds like everyone of us have got our own pimple outbreaks.

I decided to console everyone since i was the leader of the gang. " No lah, it must be the sun. Recently, temperatures are high. So, it really isn within our means to control our the temperature."

Yeah, Yeah...OMG..recently darn hot leh." Melvin agreed.

SUddenly, MeiQing scream,"Why are we deceiving ourselves!! We just cant find the solution!!"

OMG!!!! 一针见血!!! We were dumbfounded.

And mElvin was really really humourous. Wanna know why? HAHaz...

MeiqIng told us that she will be going for singing lessons soon.

Being puzzled, i asked, " But why? You already sing very well. There's no need for you to learn singing again."

"But now, everyone is improving. And singing is my only 才艺. They will beat me soon, and singing will not be my strength anymore."

Being kind, Melvin said, "But you have other 才艺 what, MeiQIng."

"What?" We asked.

"Your 才艺 is 生 pimple loh..."

HAHAZ......We are all so wrong abt melvin. He isn a nerd. See..he can be bad too. HAhaz....

Then i went,"Actually, 我们的才艺都是生pimples!!!"

WAHHHH...HOw sad can this be!!! The soln to clear skin gang shall work harder towards our goal of finding the real soln to our gang!!! We will!!!
